WIP* Wednesday - it's not all knitting today
Operation Prefold is under way. Son is becoming a bit of a heavy wetter so we've been stuffing our BumGenius's with prefolds. This system works well except that we don't have enough prefolds. Since we will be potty training soon I am refusing to buy more prefolds. Luckily, my sister had a large garbage bag full of old t-shirts. I have one done and 5 to go.
My Great-Grandma's (now vintage) pattern book is providing the pattern for Son's mittens this year. That copyright date is 1951 in case you can't see it in the photo. From the pattern's, I'm gathering that Botany was a yarn company, but I'm not sure if Botany is around anymore. Quince and Co. Chickadee in the color Bird's Egg is the yarn I chose. The more I use their yarn, the more I love it.
It's also November which means that it's 30 days of being Thankful over on Facebook. I have decided to do it here instead and invite you to do it with me either in the comments or on your own blog. Since I'm a day behind there are two things for today:
I am thankful for Husband and the kids.
I am thankful for being able to stay home with my kids, even though it can get tough at times.
